SLT Replication for Oracle DB source system

$

Dears,

We would like to replicate tables from Oracle Database using SLT replication server on HANA DB.

Version of SLT Server is DMIS-> 2011 SP07

Oracle: 11 G

HANA DB: SP09

Data Type in source system: Nested tables

We are able to see the tables in data provisioning after replicating DD02L and DD02T tables. But whenever we replicate the table its going

in error. There are free background process in the system.

Replication error in SLT ABAP is "No Column table found for table schema.tablename"

DB connection is working fine i have checked this and SLT can open and close the source DB successfully.

Please let me know in case you need more details.

Thanks

Hi,

Has anyone else had problems installing the AFL component with SPS110?  Out of memory during array extend?  The trc files don't show anything interesting regarding AFL.

Hi Friends,

We have SAP BIW netweaver 7.0 running on Linux OS and Oracle RAC 11g (11.2.0.4).

Oracle database RAC is having three DB nodes and UNDO table space is configured for each DB node.

But when we are loading data in BW from CRM and ECC system then we are getting dump that PSAPUNDO table space can not be extended.

one undo table sqapce having size 60 GB attached with primary DB node

second unod table space is having size 167 GB attached with secondary DB node

third undo table space is having 90 GB size and connected with third DB node.

We are getting dump for undo tablespace attached with primary DB node.

Please suggest what can be done.

Hi,

We are writing a logic to retrieve data from HRP1001.

Since there are large amounts of data,

we spend a lot of time to select data from DB.

We wants to know how to handle in a short time.

Now the logic is this.

---

SELECT objid

                sobid

                adatanr

    INTO TABLE ltab_data

    FROM hro1001

      FOR ALL ENTRIES IN ltab_pernr

  WHERE otype = 'P'

        AND objid  = ltab_pernr

        AND plvar  = '01'

        AND rsign  = 'A'

        AND relat   = '032'

        AND istat    = '1'

        AND begda <= sy-datum

        AND endda >= sy-datum

        AND sclas   = 'Q'

        AND sobid  IN lr_id.

---

Now, it is taking about 3 seconds.

Function "RHPP_Q_PROFILE_READ" dose not use.

Thinks.

Hi All,

1. I have full ORACLE Online Backup and i need to restore in SAP Server which is in same configuration like Win2008 OS, SID,DBSID, NR etc.,

but i don't have SOURCE System to create a Control file, so how do i restore and recovery the Database without ControlFile and apply the archive logs.

please suggest the steps to complete the task.

2. DB-Backup is stored in NAS drive its configured in N/W when i need to restore the DB i use to copy the DB into E:Oracle/SID/sapbackup/somename

when is use the command brrestor -m full -b besnmxt.fnd -d disk -c, directly its going to N/W path not in E:Oracle/SID/sapbackup/somename

Because of N/W path its taking too much of time to restore how do i change the path to local disk of where backup copied

Fix select Database from ODBC Connection

Hi i'm having the following problem, we have made many reports on CR XI on Windows XP, and when we try to install the CR XI or the CR 2013 on the Windows 7 or Windows 10, the CR build the queries as "database"."schema"."table". But we have many clients with differents Database names but the same database Structure, so if the SQL Select wouldn't had the "database". before the query would work in all Clients.

We use PostGreSQL and ODBC Driver x86.

On the windows XP when we create a new Connection the data is listed as schema > table, in the 7 or 10 when the connection is created it's listed as Database > Schema > Table.

SAP BI System Refresh issue with Differential table space between Prod and Qualtiy

$

Dear ALL,

I have to system refresh by BRTOOLS. We have to refresh SAP BI 7.31 Quality system with SAP BI 7.31 Production system. But the issue is, we do not have space equivalent to BI Prod and BI Quality. Now we have created the temporary mirror image of the BI production system and we have done the data clean up activity to get the free space. By this activity data deletion done logically but the physical space is not getting free. So we are unable to perform the system refresh.

Is anyone performed the activity of system refresh with the differential data space between Production and Quality. What are the steps involve to do the same.

Or how we can free up the physical space after performing the data deletion activity.

Valuable input highly appreciable.

Hi Experts,

we have a requirement and want to define strategy for FI and SD archiving. But I am not aware from where I can start?. Previously we did archiving of technical data , MM and vender data. Can someone please help me on below queries.

1) What are the major table on which we should focus.
2) Is there any document like PDF, word file is generating through the FI and SD process.
3) how data is generating in FI and SD module .

Or is there any standard archiving analysis process that is recommended by SAP?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

It would be helpful if someone suggests what value should be set to the Oracle DB parameter remote_os_authent in an SAP (distributed) system having only Java Stack. Since Java stack uses JDBC mechanism, does the value of this parameter really matters? Currently it is set to its default value.

Poor performance with great database tables

Hi

I'm working database tables with a lot of rows (more than 44 millium - MSEG) and i have found a great number of locks in this table, growing up the time of the processing. The functional process is configured accordingly SAP recommendations for our business process.

I'm tring to see another ways to reduce the time of the locks in the greatest database tables like this one.

Could someone help with solutions for the same problem?

The 'named cache area' for especific database table could be an alternative?

P.S.: We are using ASE 15.7.135

HA DR Replication Issue

$

Hello Everyone,

I am facing an issue with a setup of HA and DR replication

Here the issue lies between the Secondary and the DR site.

While checking the landscape host configuration for the DR site, it shows the hostname for the Primary as well as the DR site:

<physicalhost>:HDB:<sid>adm /usr/sap/<SID>/HDB02/exe/python_support 114> python landscapeHostConfiguration.py

| Host         | Host     | Host    | Failover | Remove | Storage   | Failover     | Failover     | NameServer  | NameServer  | IndexServer | IndexServer | Host         | Host         |

|              | Active   | Status  | Status   | Status | Partition | Config Group | Actual Group | Config Role | Actual Role | Config Role | Actual Role | Config Roles | Actual Roles |

| ------------ | -------- | ------- | -------- | ------ | --------- | ------------ | ------------ | ----------- | ----------- | ----------- | ----------- | ------------ | ------------ |

| <primaryhostname> | unknown  | warning |          |        |         2 | default      | default      | slave       | slave       | worker      | slave       | worker       | worker       |

| <DRhostname> | starting | warning |          |        |         1 | default      | default      | master 1    | master      | worker      | master      | worker       | worker       |

I checked the nameserver.ini under  file for the DR :

[landscape]

id = 55d10971-d01d-015b-e100-0000c612791a

master = <DRhostname>:30201

active_master = <DRhostname>:30201

worker = <primaryhostname><DRhostname>

roles_<primaryhostname> = worker

roles_<DRhostname> = worker

So I brought the DR DB down, removed the entries for the <primaryhostname> from nameserver.ini file under '/hana/shared/<SID>/global/hdb/custom/config, and then started the DB.

But it showed the same entry as above for the DR landscapehostconfiguration.

I know that even if we change the entries from nameserver.ini file, it will still pull up the original entry for nameserver.ini while starting the DB.

My question is, is there any other workaround I can use here to remove the wrong entry for the Primary hostname under nameserver.ini file?

As of now, the only option I can see is uninstalling and installing HANA DB on the DR Site, but I want to know if this issue can be resolved through any other way.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Vinay

Sybase ASE 16.0 SP02 PL03 - client

Hi

am I right in thinking you need to use the Sybase ASE 16 SDK to install the 'OpenClient 16' middleware?

In the past on ASE15.7 I was sure there was a separate download for the OpenClient components ... or just run a server install and only select the OpenClient components.

Just want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Any help appreciated.

Content Server on Filesystem Directory Structure

$

Hello,

one question about the SAP CS. We implemented the possibility to archiv files on filesystem and not in a DB. For each file we archive the CS creates a directory on filesystem with following structure:

5bs3

0d3a

83hu

So 4 characters a-z and 0-9, which allows 36^4 possibilities (1.679.616(1,7Mio).

So my question: what will happen at file 1.679.617 ? Does the CS continue with 5 letters or something like this ?

Anybody any  experience?

Thanks

Lukas
